The journey between Hyderabad and Bengaluru will become much faster soon. The Central Government has plans to develop a high-speed greenfield express highway between these two major cities. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is in the process of preparing detailed proposals for this significant project.
Travel time between Hyderabad and Bengaluru is about 8-9 hours at present. With the new high-speed corridor coming up, it will be reduced to around 5 hours. Officials shared that the expressway is being designed in such a way that speeds of up to 120 km/h can be attained.
The traffic pile-up on the existing NH-44 has led to several accidents and thus inspired the government with an urge for another parallel expressway.
A new expressway shall run parallel to NH-44 from Karnataka up to Andhra Pradesh. “In Andhra, it will be 250 km in Telangana, 210 km and in Karnataka, it will traverse a distance of 106 km,” the official said. The total length of the new high-speed corridor road parallel to NH-44, which will be about 10–15 km away from the existing one, comes to approximately 576 km.
Land Acquire with 100 Meters Wide
Land acquire with 100 meters wide on whole stretch for this project, After final approval from center construction work will be accelerated. The Estimated total cost of the project is Rs. 13,000 Crore (INR). After Survey and approval Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be made soon.
