L&T to Develop Hyderabad’s Largest Data Centre Campus
Hyderabad:
Engineering and infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is set to develop one of the largest data centre campuses in Hyderabad, marking a major boost to Telangana’s digital infrastructure ecosystem.
The proposed data centre project will come up in the Ranga Reddy district with an investment of approximately ₹22.3 billion (₹2,230 crore). The facility will be developed as a large-scale, integrated data centre park to cater to the growing demand for cloud services, AI workloads, fintech platforms, and digital enterprises.
According to officials, the data centre will have a power capacity of around 80 MW in the first phase, which will be expanded in multiple phases. Once fully operational, the total built-up area is expected to cover over 13 acres, with advanced cooling systems and high-end digital security infrastructure.
The project is expected to generate around 3,000 to 3,600 direct and indirect jobs, providing significant employment opportunities for skilled professionals in IT, engineering, and facility management. The Telangana government has extended full support to the project under its data centre policy, offering incentives related to power tariffs, infrastructure, and fast-track approvals.

Industry experts believe that Hyderabad is rapidly emerging as a preferred data centre hub in India, thanks to its reliable power supply, strong fiber connectivity, business-friendly policies, and availability of skilled talent. Major global cloud players and hyperscalers have already shown interest in expanding operations in the region.
The L&T data centre campus will feature state-of-the-art energy-efficient designs, advanced disaster recovery mechanisms, and compliance with global data security standards. The facility is also expected to support green energy initiatives, aligning with sustainability goals.
With this investment, Telangana further strengthens its position as a future-ready digital and technology-driven state, attracting large-scale investments in IT, electronics, and next-generation infrastructure.
